Amount: The amount is determined by the filing status on your 2021 Colorado tax return: Single taxpayers pay $750, while joint filers pay $1,500.
When Issued: If you submitted a 2021 Colorado income tax return or asked for a PTC rebate by June 30, 2022, payments were made by September 30, 2022. If you get an addition to file your 2021 Colorado return and file by the deadline of October 17, 2022, your payment will be prorated by January 31, 2023.
Who Qualifies: You are eligible for a full Connecticut “Child Tax Rebate” if you meet the following criteria:
- You are a state resident;
- You listed at least one kid under the age of 18 as a dependant on your 2021 federal income tax return;
- Your federal adjusted gross income for 2021 does not exceed $100,000 for single taxpayers and married couples filing separately, $160,000 for head-of-household filers, and $200,000 for married couples filing jointly and qualified widows (er)s.
Amount: The refund is worth up to $250 per child for three children (a total of $750). You may be eligible for a lower rebate if your income exceeds the appropriate level.
When Issued: Child Tax Rebate applications were due on July 31, 2022. The state began issuing rewards to people who applied before the deadline in late August.
Who is Eligible: The “Middle-Class Tax Refund” in California is generally offered to current residents who:
- By October 15, 2021, you must have filed your 2020 California tax return.
- Did not exceed specified income thresholds in 2020 (California adjusted gross income of more than $250,000 for single persons and married couples filing separate tax returns, or more than $500,000 for others);
- We were California residents for at least six months in 2020 and Couldn’t be claimed as dependent on someone else’s 2020 tax year.
Amount: $200 to $1,050, depending on income, filing status, and the number of dependents. The California Franchise Tax Board provides an online tool that estimates your payment amount (opens in a new tab).
When Issued: If you got a Golden State Stimulus (GSS) payment by direct deposit last year or early this year, you will get your California Middle-Class Tax Refund payment between October 7 and October 25, 2022. (again, via direct deposit).
Additional direct deposit payments to others will be made between October 28 and November 14 (about 90% of all direct deposits should be given in October 2022).
The state will issue Middle-Class Tax Refund debit cards to persons who received a GSS payment via debit card between October 24 and December 10, 2022. Others receiving debit card payments could receive them in the mail by January 15, 2023.
Who Qualifies: Approximately 59,000 Florida households with children were eligible for a one-time payment. To be eligible for a payout as of July 1, 2022, you had to be:
- Foster caretaker;
- Participant in the Guardianship Assistance Program;
- TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) recipient;
- Or a relative caregiver
- Non-family caregiver

When they were sent: The first refund checks were mailed in May 2022. The Georgia DOR anticipated that most payments would be issued by August.

Who is Eligible: Delaware “Relief Rebates” are available to resident adults who submitted a 2020 Delaware personal income tax return. The second rebate, commonly known as the “Special Session Rebate,” is equal to the lesser of 10% of the tax owed on your 2020 Idaho return before credits, “other” taxes, payments, gifts, or the greater of $300 for all other taxpayers or $600 for married couples filing a joint return.
When Issued: The state began sending the first wave of refunds in March 2022, with most of the payouts already sent. In late September, they began sending out the second tranche of payments.
Idaho distributes them to qualified people according to the date their 2021 tax return was submitted. Paper checks will be provided after direct deposit payments. Rebate payments will be made as residents file their tax returns through 2022 and 2023.
